Radiator Cap Introduction
Radiator cap also named water tank cover. The car’s water tank cover plays a role in sealing the water tank and emitting pressure in case of excessive pressure in the water tank. When the cooling system’s internal pressure rises, it will pass through the air valve of the water tank cover into the antifreeze pot to keep the internal pressure of the system at a constant level and absorb the steam as well as the air bubbles from the cooling system.

V-Type Water Tank Cover for Steel Material
1.Spring seat, air outlet valve seat, air outlet valve, water inlet valve and coupling pipe are made of SUS201 steel, featuring light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, seepage resistance, shock resistance, convenient for cleaning and so on.
2.Steel cover adopts SUS430 steel, with excellent corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity, superior coefficient of thermal expansion, and resistance to thermal fatigue.
3.Spring and coupling pipe II adopts SUS304 steel, which has abrasion resistance, low temperature resistance, thermal expansion performance and good heat preservation performance.
4.Small rubber seal ring adopts German EPDM rubber, with wear resistance, anti-aging, good thermal expansion performance, etc.
5.Coupling rod adopts 1 CR13 stainless steel with great hardenability, featuring high hardness and toughness, corrosion resistance, cold deformation performance, and better shock absorption performance.

T-Type Water Tank Cover for Steel Material
1.German EPDM rubber is adopted for the valve sealing ring. featuring outstanding performance of abrasion resistance, anti-aging, and great performance of thermal expansion.
2.The spring, air outlet valve seat, air outlet valve seal ring clamp, liquid inlet valve clamp and liquid inlet valve seal ring clamp are made of SUS304 steel, featuring abrasion resistance, low temperature resistance, excellent thermal expansion performance and heat preservation performance.
3.The outlet valve is made of PA66-30 polyamide resin, featuring excellent mechanical properties, high mechanical strength, toughness, heat resistance, self-lubrication and good friction resistance.
4.The inlet valve adopts poly form aldehyde resin POM nylon, possessing the characteristics of high hardness, high steel and high wear resistance.

Maintenance Advice
The symptoms of non-pressure relief from the water tank cap are
■ Coolant overflowing from the cap into the tank cap.
■ Water temperature gauge temperature rises dramatically. No Absence of pressure relief will result in the water tank working abnormally, influencing the normal working performance of the engine.

Attention for water tank cap replacement
■ Do not replace the water tank cover until the vehicle has cooled down completely.
■ Waring: When the vehicle is running, alongside the temperature of the engine rises, the temperature of the coolant in the water tank also increases, and so does the pressure, if the water temperature gauge turns out to be excessive, it is possible that the water tank cover is faulty, However, please do not open the water tank cover, as to avoid the instantaneous spray of high-temperature liquid scalding!
■ In the installation of the new tank cover, please be certain to tighten the tank cover tightly (turn to the limit block so far), or else it may cause coolant leakage from the tank cover.
■ Every time the vehicle is serviced, it is suggested that the spring inside the water tank cover should not be rusted, otherwise it will not work and that will cause excessive pressure in the cooling system.
■ There should not be too much scale in the coolant, which will not only block the thermostat, but also cause the spring inside the water tank cover to fail to operate or block the pipe to the small water tank.
■ Please purchase a big brand of water tank cover from regular professional merchants and choose according to the model, original code, pressure value, installation size and so on.
Note: When choosing a mismatched or inferior tank cover may result in damage to the tank and possibly the engine in serious cases!
